The collapse of the post-colonial world has given rise to overwhelming injustices in many nations worldwide, none more so than in Palestine. Borders and boundaries are creating a refugee-immigration crisis on a mass scale leading to the slow ‘erasure’ of humans through systematic oppression and the ongoing liberation struggle.
Navigating to unmask the structural racism, violence and multiple genocides, this book delves deep into Dr Bazian’s own experiences as a Palestinian living in the diaspora away from his homeland, to critically analyse the history and origins of the immigration-refugee crisis.
"From Palestine to Black Lives Matter, this important book plots a powerful and passionate journey that crosses disciplinary boundaries, disputed borders and connects the dots that Eurocentric scholarship systematically continue to obscure." - S. Sayyid, Professor of Social Theory and Decolonial Thoughts, University of Leeds.
"Dr Bazian's personal story, shaped in large part by the Israeli occupation of his homeland, shows that even under conditions that erase one as human, we can still preserve our humanity and work tirelessly to assist others in doing the same." - Imam Zaid Shakir.
