Dr Haifaa Younis is the founder, Chairman, and resident scholar at Jannah Institute and serves as a Resident Scholar at the Islamic Centre of Irvine, California. She is an American Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, blending her medical career with Islamic scholarship and education.
Dr Younis graduated from the Mecca Institute of Islamic Studies and Al-Huda Qur’an Memorisation School in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she completed the memorisation of the Qur’an. In addition to her teaching and scholarship, she has shared first-hand reflections and experiences related to Gaza, including discussions on the realities faced by people there and lessons drawn from her visits and interactions.
She currently lives and works in the United States, teaching various Islamic studies courses with a strong focus on purification of the heart (tazkiyah), spiritual development, and practical, heartfelt application of Islamic teachings
