About the author
Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (d. 1111) was a Muslim jurist, theologian and spiritual writer. He studied with al-Juwayni in Nishapur and taught at Baghdad’s Nizamiyya madrasa. His works explore the relationship between religious knowledge, worship and the cultivation of character.
