About the author
Dr Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips is a very well-known and respected scholar, Islamic educator and author. He founded the International Open University. His commentary draws on scholars including Ibn Kathir, al-Qurtubi, al-Sa‘di and Ibn ‘Uthaymeen. He was born in Jamaica and grew up in Canada. He reverted to Islam at a young age and studied Islam at a tertiary level at the Islamic University of Madinah.
